  You can now set all the additional parameters that Apple requires for your podcasting. This includes setting site specific keywords, categories, summary and author details.

  This allows you to further customize your podcasts for inclusion into Apple's iTunes system.

• New 'Grab Latest' widget released for anyone to use your content

  Now anyone can easily incorporate your latest entries into their MySpace page, Facebook profile, blog or web site using the very quick and easy copy'n'paste HTML code.

  Fully customizable, your visitors can increase your readership by simply dropping in a piece of code to their site. They can access this use the "Grab Latest" link at the top of all Blog-City sites.

• RSS gets super-charged with extra links

  RSS is becoming increasingly the way many people view content. Through services like Google FeedReader/BlogLines/Yahoo etc, they get only the recent articles from your RSS feeds.

  Blog-City has now allowed you to tap into this readership by automatically providing links at the bottom of each RSS item that lists the related articles to the one they are reading.

  This gives readers from RSS aggregators greater visibility into the depth of your blog site. Enable it now from your administration!

• WIKI updated to allow for public editing

  We have updated the hugely popular WIKI module of our sites to allow administrators to easily mark given WIKI pages as completely editable by anyone.

  This allows administrators to designate a given page as completely public to solicit more input from a wider range.

• SiteMap Auto Discovery Introduced

  We have upgraded all blogs to automatically utilise the new sitemap auto-discovery mechanism.

  This is a method to allow the major search engines to quickly and easily find your SiteMap (an XML file detailing all the posts/entries you have made).

  Sitemap makes it much quicker for search engines to index your content since they don't have to crawl looking for links.

• Full RSS Financial support introduced

  We are proud to be supporting the RSS extension for finanical content as specified by Financial Content.

  This standard extends the <category> element to include the stock symbol for a given company.

  In addition, any stock symbol attached to a given entry will automatically be linked to the profile page of the popular market research site Market News First

  So, if you are blogging about public listed companies then you should be using Blog-City for all your reports and findings.

  You asked for it and we delivered — a fully functional WIKI site within your existing blogging environment.

  A wiki is a free form flowing site that lets people create as many pages as they wish, using the safe and simple WIKI syntax.

• Statistics completely relaunched

  We have completely overhauled the statistics collection service of all our blogs. We are collecting more data and presenting it in a manner that allows bloggers to see how people are using their site.

  In addition to monitoring page hits, we are also monitoring the referral, country of origin and the user-agents of all the traffic.

  We will also be announcing very soon, the ability for to get at the daily raw access logs for a small premium. This will enable you to run your own software against it.

  We have released a full multi-threaded + multi-topic forum for each blog. Each forum enables anyone to contribute topics and replies all under the watchful eye of the blog administrator.

  A forum enables a much greater interaction with the readers as they no longer have to wait to respond to a given blog entry.

  After many months of development and much testing we have released our Version6, which is essentially the administration console.
